Now think, where did you leave them last, at the doughnut shop? In the chippy? Harry's world of pies? loosing 1 stone could be considered unfortunate, but 3 is positively careless.

mucho respect , but that is frankly terrifying.
It is pretty clear mind you that you know the ring very well as most of the really shitty corners appeared to be blind.
You should be racing lad....not scaring the shit out of bady ridden german porsches.

| Nah, I'm fast enough to race. Just not well-heeled enough or time-free enough to do it effectively. I look at mates who stop riding road bikes so they can race a 3-year Gixxer and they miss out on so much... the only way I can race is by blagging and that's a bit cheeky to be honest! I don't earn anywhere near a 'decent' wage for a 27-year old professional. A MaccyD manager makes more than a motorcycle journo!

| Was at the ring last year and stopped at a hotel next to the track (where the track goes over a bridge - can't remember the name). The owner of the hotel (Eddy) has done quite a few laps of the ring as have his friends. He showed me a vid of a mate on the ring that did a sub 7min lap (if I remember correctly) on we were told a breathed on ZX7R with stop clock on the bottom. Watched it and it was very impressive. | Video could have been messed about with to make it appear quicker but I remember the bike going under the final bridge at 6.58. What stuck in my memory is that it wasn't far off the ultimate lap record which I believe is around 6:30

the ultimate lap record is 6m11 in a 1000BHP 956 le mans ground effect race car driven by stephan bellof....not even modern race cars can get near tis time .... and there is NO WAY in hell a zx7r even rebuilt, and fitted with a rocket ship motor would go below 7 mins round the ring.. and I know eddie ( the hotel owner) and if he possessed such a vid I would have seen it.. as a few years back he was at the ring most nights.. so I would guess he went under the gantry at about 7.58.. which is feasible..
