Here at PB we've got a special place in our hearts for the classic art of bridge jumping. Maybe it comes from the TT or the Irish Road Races. Or maybe it's the other way around. Anyways, here's Dale, Kar and then Olly jumping for the cover of January's issue. Phase One bike, Project R1, respectively then Kar's bike.
Aha... is this why I'm pursuing Superbike for libel?
I think they either a) made up the shoelaces story or b) chose to take it at face value from someone.
That bike was held in with four ratchet straps, upright in the centre of the van. The problem stemmed from a silicone-polished floor and new slicks... I didn't even contemplate that such an accident could happen. But it did... literally 50yards after moving off. D'oh!

Admission time: this bridge jumping stuff scares the bejesus out of me.
There's a road in Northumberland thats all whoops and I looped a ZX7R over one - Christ i thought I'd never hit the ground.
Then, of course, I did and the bike squished me - not a lot - just enough to tell me that there are somethings the human body is just not built for.
These days, whenever both wheels leave the ground there's allways this feeling, you know?
SR, I just seen you hail from Melton, I spent 05-06 there, It is a nice little town...
I had an 87 FZR400 use to crack around on. I remember there was this one little bridge down between kettering & huntingdon 'IIRC'. It was the first time I got air on the road, rightly scared the hell out of me.
I was well chuffed when I opend me lastest PB and found the 675 Flatout: Melton to Market Harborough. Brought back some great memories. I will always remeber the section of slight eses before the 90 degree right over the stream just before Tilton.
Anyway keep up the great work with the mag, always hanging for the next copy.
That Market Harborough road is just great, Melton is always a good starting point for a ride.
I used to see some chick down Northampton and would travel that way from Nottingham. Using mostly back roads I could do it in about 1hr 25mins was my record, you could do Harborough to Melton so quick. Just best avoided at the weekend.
Love that section where your whole bike and body compress at the bottom of the hill
there is a bridge on the back road to wetheby (north yorkhire) from harrogate (ish) or vice versa and you can get air in a 98' mondeo nevermind a bike!!
